Break down gender stereotypes by closing the cyber skills gap
Many fields in tech over the years have had huge growth in the fields of Science and Technology. Over the past 50 years, the number of women in fields like mathematics and physical sciences has grown from 17% of the work force to almost half (47% and 45% respectively). Computer workers and engineers are still yet to balance out entirely at 25% or below for those fields. There has been growth still, but this just shows that there’s little reason for the disparity to still be this large.
For the last day of National Women’s History Month, SCMagazine published an article about breaking down the gender stereotypes in the field of cybersecurity. It covers all the reasons why women can make it in cybersecurity and how we can support and grow the number of women in cybersecurity. You can read more about it at SCMagazine’s article.
